Should I tell you of the times that tell of now and long ago
Of those hypocritic persons, many people we all know
Should I let you know of the mindless thoughts that show each other’s souls

Many times I’ve often wondered why these people all do things
That cause each other nightmares and hinder freeborn wings
But I cannot even face myself when I know that I’m part of this
Still there are many other faults of mine that hinder my great bliss

People put down one another when the other isn’t there
Then they see them and they tell them they’re always perfect everywhere
These contrary statements tell me truth in this world is a lie
And it’s hard to believe that to this is even more

You can see a similar problem with those people that will say
“Oh, I’m eternally against that custom,” yet they did it just the other day
People always running, screaming, saying “Hey…practice what you preach”
How can these people be brothers when their ideas just cannot reach?

People smile at one another, then turn their backs and make a frown
People always acting funny, performing antics like a clown
How on earth can all these people live in falsehood everyday?
And it is hard to believe that to this there’s even more
