THE REPLY

He was talkin' to a woman the other day
When she confided
Something she just had to say
Then he replied

Do you think that it's wrong for a man to feel
That he's been wrong about some ideal
Women 'been exploited a long, long time
For that to change it's gonna take some time

It's really just a silly but a heavy game
And it causes such pain
When will we realize
That we are all human, we're all human

The man that she talked of was her son
It blew her mind
She had always thought that he was one
Who had set in his mind

That all men and women were born equal and free
Yet, in his own heart I'm sure he could see
Women still suffer it just the same
And for all womenkind he felt the pain
Ohhhhhh
Ohhhhhhhhh
